Meet the Team
Christ Church is led by a group of gifted and servant-hearted individuals who are committed to equipping and enabling us as a church to serve and grow within specific areas of church life. The Leadership Team brings together our current clergy, paid staff, churchwardens, licensed lay ministers and other committed volunteers. To send an email to members of staff or clergy, simply click on their photo below.
The Leadership Team are accountable to our PCC (Parochial Church Council) who, as our trustees, are responsible for upholding our vision and legal responsibilities.
Simon was appointed as Vicar of Christ Church early in 2016 having moved from Devon with his wife Amy and two young children. He is passionate about enabling the church to embody and grow in its mission. He oversees our teaching, equipping and resourcing which includes Sunday services, midweek groups and circles.
Elaine is our part-time Associate Vicar. She is involved in many areas of church ministry and enjoys encouraging others to fully participate in the life of the church. She has a pastoral heart and loves talking to people in church and in the neighbourhood. She enjoys gardening and walking especially with her husband Ralph. They have four children and five grandchildren.
Sue is passionate about enabling everyone to get involved and be encouraged to discover their gifts through practical service, both as one of our Churchwardens, and as Volunteer Champion at our charity shop Found. She also works to ensure that our buildings are safe. She is married to Dave and enjoys being a grandmother.
Hi! I’m Carol and I am the Children, Families’ and Community worker at CCR. I have been attending Christ Church with my husband and son since 2012 and have been in this role since 2019. I am passionate about seeing children and families coming to know Christ and walk closer with Him. I oversee the children’s work in church both on Sunday and during the week. I also lead a team on the local Grange Farm Estate and help out at Roxeth Primary School twice a week. When I’m not in one of the places listed above, I love discovering hidden parts of London. When not ‘in town’, you can find me digging in my garden or buying plants (that don’t tend to last very long) for my garden - who doesn’t like a decent garden centre?!
Clive is a Licensed Lay Minister. On the Leadership Team he ensures that what we do is compliant with the law and church governance, also considering how we use liturgy and developing our strategic partnerships. He is an elected member of the Church of England's General Synod. A barrister, he also works as an editor of The Law Reports & The Weekly Law Reports.
Ashok is our Treasurer and a member of the Enabling Team, ensuring good stewardship of our finances to enable the ministry and mission of the church. He is married with two teenage sons. A management consultant by profession, he has been working in the oil and gas industry involved in enterprise transformation.
Ron is passionate about seeing Kingdom transformation and encouraging the use of the gifts of the Spirit within our church family. Rachel and Matthew are Ron’s adult daughter and son and he has 4 delightful grandchildren in their late teens/early twenties. Now retired, Ron previously worked bringing change and innovation to the management of properties for large UK organisations.
Barbara is employed part-time as our Administrator and Personal Assistant to the Clergy. She is focused on facilitating well-organised services and meetings that grow the mission and ministry of Christ Church effectively. She is married to Raj and has children and grandchildren back in the United States.

Christ Church PCC
(Parochial Church Council)
The PCC are our board of trustees, who work with the Vicar to hold our leadership team to account for implementing the church's vision and values. They also have legal responsibility for ensuring that we look after our staff, volunteers, premises and finances and remain legally compliant with church and charity law.
The majority of our PCC members are elected at our annual church meeting in the spring. This is a great opportunity for church members to serve practically and represent views from across the congregation.
